UPDATE: Delayed Completion – Belvedere Hill Roadworks

We would like to inform residents and road users that the resurfacing works on Belvedere Hill, originally scheduled for completion on Friday 31 October 2025, have been delayed due to unforeseen issues with the structural integrity of the existing Road layer.

To ensure the long-term durability of the new surface, the resurfacing class has been upgraded. Rather than reopening the road and closing it again for additional works, the decision has been made to keep Belvedere Hill closed until 7:00am on Thursday 6 November 2025. This will allow all necessary repairs to be completed in a single phase.

Please note that our aim is to complete the works as early as possible. Regular updates will be provided on our website and Facebook page.

Traffic Diversions

🚗 The existing traffic management plan will remain in place throughout the extended period.

🚗 Access to the Merton Hotel will continue to be maintained via the signed diversion route

🚗 Access to Mont Millais\Bagatelle Road via Belvedere should be made either:
Via Les Varines
Along Route de Fort, turning up St Clement’s Road (past Howard Davis Park).

🚗 Fountain Lane remains access to premises only.
