Presentation of the King Charles III Coronation Medals

On 4 November 2024, Connétable Lewis had the honour of presenting the “King Charles III Coronation Medal” to several dedicated Honorary Police Officers. This medal is awarded in recognition of their service at the time of the Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla on 6 May 2023, specifically for completing five years of continuous service without breaks. The officers who were present to receive their medals included Centenier Martins, Vingtenier Gonçalves, Centenier Ruane and Constable’s Officer Spinola.

For those officers who were unable to attend the presentation, including Constable’s Officer Hawgood, Vingtenier Tanner, Centenier Richards, Centenier Laffoley-Edwards and Vingtenier Hallam, their medals will be presented separately by the Connétable at a later date.

The medals were accompanied by special recognition from the Bailiff of Jersey, Sir Timothy Le Cocq, who expressed his gratitude with the following message:

“On behalf of the Island of Jersey, I would like to thank you for your valued commitment and service, which provides a safe and secure environment for all within our Island community. I hope you will wear this medal with pride, knowing that it has been presented to a limited number of individuals in Jersey.”

We extend our congratulations and heartfelt thanks to all the Honorary Police Officers for their unwavering service and dedication to the Parish and the Island.
