Electoral Assembly – Monday 13th November at 7pm
In accordance with Article 19 of the Elections (Jersey) Law 2002 a Nomination Meeting will be held at St Saviour’s Parish Hall on Monday 13 November 2023 at 7.00 pm to:-
- Elect two Centeniers, each for a three-year term of office.
All Parishioners and electors of the Parish are welcome to attend.
A nomination form for each candidate standing for election must be produced to the meeting and must be completed by a proposer and nine seconders who have registered and are on the electoral list in the parish. It is recommended that this be verified with the parish office beforehand.
- If there are more candidates than vacancies, an election shall be held on Wednesday 13 December 2023.
- If there are not more candidates than vacancies, the duly nominated candidates will be declared elected at the nomination meeting.
To vote in this election you must have registered by midday on Friday 10 November 2023.
In accordance with Article 20, (8) of the Public Elections (Jersey) Law 2002, aforesaid, A nomination meeting shall not be closed less than 10 minutes after it has been opened.
Parishioners are asked to arrive in good time in order to confirm their entitlement to vote. Only registered electors and nominated Mandataires are entitled to vote.
