Success of the Jersey Repair Café at St Saviour
St Saviour’s Parish Hall was buzzing with activity on Saturday as the latest Repair Café proved to be a huge success. Residents brought in a variety of items in need of repair, from clocks to toasters to garden equipment. Thanks to the generosity and expertise of volunteer fixers, including the Constable and Procureurs, many items were given a new lease of life rather than being thrown away.
The event was well attended, with visitors not only getting their items repaired but also enjoying a friendly and sustainable community atmosphere. Attendees relaxed with delicious homemade cakes and hot drinks while listening to live music, adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The Parish would like to extend a huge thank you to the organisers and skilled volunteers who made the event possible and to everyone who attended and supported the initiative.
Given the positive response, we look forward to hosting more Repair Cafés in the future. Stay tuned for upcoming dates!
