Refuse Collection – Health and Safety Requirements
Due to multiple reports of dangerous items being found in refuse, including glass, needles, and knives, and in line with health and safety policies, the refuse team will no longer remove bags from inside bins or collect waste left on the ground.
With immediate effect, all refuse must be placed in refuse sacks and contained within a wheelie bin in order to be collected by the refuse team.
Exceptions will only be considered where a specific requirement has been agreed in advance and where the situation is confirmed as a one-off.
This measure is necessary to protect the safety of our operatives and to ensure that refuse collections can continue safely and efficiently.
