Candidate Nomination Forms for 2026 Elections available
The Jersey Electoral Authority (JEA) has today announced the release of the official nomination form for individuals wishing to stand as candidates in the 2026 Elections to the States Assembly, which will take place on Sunday 7 June 2026.
Important Information for Prospective Candidates
Anyone wishing to become a candidate in the 2026 elections must complete the nomination form and find the support of 10 individuals willing to endorse their candidacy – one proposer and nine seconders. Prospective candidates are advised to check that their proposer and seconders are on the electoral register and eligible to vote for them.
- The form is available to download from Vote.je or a printed copy can be collected from the States Greffe, Morier House, St Helier and from the Parish Hall.
- Prospective candidates can submit one form only and cannot stand for multiple roles on 7 June.
- Nomination forms must be completed in full and exactly as instructed on the form. Incomplete or incorrect forms will not be accepted.
- Forms must be delivered in person to the JEA at Morier House, Halkett Place, St Helier, JE1 1DD, between 9am-5pm on Monday 20 April, Tuesday 21 April or Wednesday 22 April 2026. Forms will not be accepted after 5pm on Wednesday 22 April 2026.
- Before submitting the nomination form, prospective candidates must send their manifesto of up to 450 words and a photograph (JPEG format, size 1-3MB) for publication on Vote.je and in the candidate booklet. Email submissions to: [email protected]
The JEA will notify the prospective candidate once their nomination form has been accepted and all accepted candidates will be publicly announced on Monday 27 April 2026.
