A Thank you From the Connétable – New Years Lunches

Following the St Saviour New Year’s Luncheons held on Saturday 18 and Saturday 25 January 2025 at the Ambassadeur Hotel, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Joseph and his team at the Ambassadeur for their outstanding hospitality and incredible food, which, as always, was enjoyed by all.

I would also like to thank the Honorary Police, the volunteers who assisted at these events and the local businesses whose generosity in providing raffle prizes helped make the luncheons such a success. Special thanks go to Longueville Manor Hotel, Waitrose, Seymour Hotels, Great Wall Chinese Take-Away, The Boundary, Falle’s Service Station and C.I. Co-operative Society Limited whose support was greatly appreciated by all in attendance.

This annual event continues to grow in popularity, with an increasing number of Parishioners wishing to attend. Unfortunately, this year, demand slightly exceeded capacity, resulting in a waiting list and while almost everyone who requested tickets received them, a small number were unable to be accommodated.

We are committed to making improvements for next year, including exploring ways to ensure the ticket distribution process is fairer and providing more advanced notice of ticket availability. This will help give everyone a better opportunity to participate in this much-loved event.

Thank you again to everyone involved in making this year’s luncheons a success, and I look forward to welcoming you to future Parish events.
