General Refuse

Your rubbish collection

Your general rubbish will be collected once a week.

You will need your own wheelie bin to leave outside your home for collection.

Refuse can only be collected in wheelie bins, as it is unsafe for the team to manually lift heavy bins or loose bin bags.

Items we won’t collect

Please note that there are specific items we cannot accept for general rubbish collection, including: 

• furniture
• mattresses
• large household appliances
• televisions and electrical goods
• solvent-based paints and chemicals
• Building materials

Additionally, the following items should not be placed in your rubbish bin: 

• glass – use the Parish glass collection
• lightbulbs
• batteries
• electrical/electronic goods
